Why Am I Being Assigned the Same Course Again?

If you’re seeing a course assigned that you recently completed, you’re not alone — and there’s usually a simple explanation.

Courses Are Assigned by Your Organization

Carebility does not choose which courses you are required to take. All education is assigned by your organization’s leadership team.

Sometimes, organizations reassign courses to:

  • Reinforce important policies

  • Address facility-specific concerns

  • Respond to incidents or survey findings

  • Meet compliance or regulatory requirements

Because of this, you may be asked to complete the same course more than once.

The 30-Day Retake Rule

In most cases, our system is set up so that users are not required to retake the same course within a 30-day window.

However, administrators do have the option to force a retake sooner than 30 days if needed.

If you’re seeing a course that you recently completed, it may have been intentionally reassigned by your organization.

Why This Happens

Organizations often reassign training to ensure they are:

  • Staying compliant

  • Addressing current facility concerns

  • Providing reinforcement on key topics

  • Supporting quality improvement efforts

Even if you’ve taken the course before, leadership may feel it’s important to revisit the material.

Still Have Questions?

If you’re unsure why a specific course was reassigned, we recommend speaking with your administrator or supervisor for more details.

They’ll be able to explain the reason behind the assignment.
