How the Points Tab Works
The Points tab (Program → Points) is where you configure the core of your loyalty program: how customers earn points and how they can spend them.
Program Status Toggle
At the top of the Points tab, you'll see "Your program is currently: ON/OFF" with a toggle. Make sure this is set to ON before customers can start earning or redeeming points.
Earn Points
Click "Add ways to earn" to add a new rule. Each rule shows its own toggle, an edit (pencil) icon, and a drag handle for reordering. Example default rules:
Place an Order — Award points every time a customer completes a purchase.
Birthday Bonus — Points for adding a birthday, plus a separate reward on the actual birthday.
Signup Bonus — Reward customers the first time they join your loyalty program.
Review Bonus — Points for leaving a product or store review.
Plus Google Maps Review and social actions (Like/Follow/Share on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube).
Redeem Points
Click "Add ways to redeem" under "Reward your customers" to add a redemption option. This section is split into two parts:
Online Rewards
Amount discount — e.g. 100 points = $5 off
Percentage off — e.g. 200 points = 10% off
Free shipping — e.g. 100 points = free shipping
Product discount — Points off a specific product
Order discount — Discount applied to the whole order
Gift card and Store credit — redeem points for store credit/gift card value
POS Rewards
A separate section for in-store redemption (POS Amount Discount, POS Percentage Discount). If none are added yet, you'll see "No POS rewards added yet."
Earning Behaviour
Under this section, you'll find the checkbox: "Customer must signup before earning points."
If checked: customers need to create an account and sign up for the loyalty program before they can earn points.
If unchecked: customers can earn points even as guests.
Point Currency (Coming Soon)
This upcoming feature lets you rename your currency from the default "Points / Point" to something on-brand — like "Stars", "Coins", or "Tokens". The Plural/Singular input fields are already visible on the page, but the section is still tagged "Coming soon" — not live for general use yet.
Point Expiry
By default, points never expire (shown as "Points expiration: off" on the Points tab). If you want to set an expiration period, click "Manage points expiration" — this takes you to the Settings section where expiry can be configured.
