Your employee, Bob, clocked out when he got home instead of at the job site. Will you pay for his trip home listening to late-night talk radio?

You need an easy way to detect these potential time card issues.

Your Issue Detection System:

The red and yellow tiles across the top of the Time screen are issues the system floats to the top for your review. In the article, Red Tiles Indicate Critical Time Card or Employee Issues That Must Be Fixed, you can learn about the critical time card issues in red. These critical issues must be fixed before you can process payroll.

All About the Yellow Issue Tiles

The yellow tiles warn you about many employee-related clock-in/out issues, including:

  • Not GPS-tracked at the job when clocking in or out

  • Left the job while on the clock

  • Missed a scheduled clock-in

  • Late for a schedule

  • By-passed a TimeTile clocking in or out

  • Clocked into an unscheduled job

These are the most common event tiles. You can create tiles for many other events by setting your notification defaults. You're in control.

Reviewing and Clearing the Yellow Tiles

Uncleared yellow tiles won't hold up payroll like red ones, but you should review and clear them. Click on the "Located not at job" tile. There's one instance that highlights Beth's time card on Monday.

Where was Beth if she wasn't located at the job? Click into the yellow cell to see her time card and map. The green arrow (1) is the job site location, and the red arrow (pin drop) is where we tracked her clock in and out location, which is her house. We let her do office work from home that day, so let's click the yellow clear button.

We cleared the one "located not at job" event for Beth, and that yellow tile went away. Also, Beth's yellow cell on Monday is white now, with a yellow dot indicating her time card was reviewed and cleared.
