Timing can make all the difference when it comes to securing a casual. Sending a booking request during times when casuals may be in the classroom or unavailable late at night might result in slower responses – or no response at all. That’s why ClassCover gives you the option to delay your booking requests and schedule them to send at the most optimal time.
Whether you're aiming to catch casuals after school hours or need extra time to finalise booking details, the Delay Send feature helps you stay in control and improve response rates. Here's how and when to use it.
Why Delay a Booking Request?
Delaying a booking request can offer several benefits:
Increase Response Rates: Casuals are more likely to respond when the request is sent after school hours.
Optimised Timing: Scheduling your requests during non-school hours can lead to quicker responses, especially if the request is not urgent.
Improved Communication: Giving yourself extra time to finalise booking details means you can send a more accurate and thoughtful request.
How to Delay Sending a Booking Request to Casuals
In the final stages of creating a booking request, you have the option to delay sending it until later. This can be done when you are refining your invite details.
On the right side of your screen, you’ll see the Invite List. Here, you can adjust:
Request Type: Choose whether to send the requests individually (in order of preference) with a set time between each request or send them all at once.
Close Booking After: Set how long the booking request stays open before it automatically closes.
Delay Send: Select a specific time and day in the future for the booking request to be sent.
Send to Emergency List: If you don’t get any responses to your initial request, you can choose to have the request automatically sent to your emergency list once the original booking closes.
Review and Send: Once you are happy that all of the booking request details are correct, click Send Invite.
What If I’m Ready to Send the Booking Request Now?
If you’re ready to send your booking request immediately, you can simply skip the delay send section and proceed with the booking. For more tips, check out our article on the three different ways to send a booking request to casuals.
