How to Turn Off Bookings While Keeping Your Account Active for Jobs and PD

Your ClassCover profile lets you easily manage your availability for bookings. By switching bookings ON or OFF, you can control whether schools can view your profile and request you for casual work.

  • Bookings OFF: Hides you from the school directory and booking lists, so you won’t receive casual booking requests.

  • Bookings ON: Your profile is visible, and schools can book you for casual work.

Why It's Helpful to Turn Off Bookings

Turning off bookings when you're unavailable helps schools by ensuring they only see active, available casuals. This assists schools in meeting their staffing needs efficiently and supports your school community.

How to Switch Bookings ON and OFF

  1. Log into ClassCover and navigate to your profile.

  2. Find the section titled I am using ClassCover to..

  3. Locate Get booked for work through ClassCover Bookings.

  4. Check/Uncheck the box to toggle your availability:

    1. Checked = Bookings ON

    2. Unchecked = Bookings OFF

  5. To keep your account active for jobs and PD, ensure the options "Apply for job opportunities through ClassCover Jobs" and "Access ClassCover's online library of Professional Development" are checked.

  6. Click SAVE.


You can adjust this setting anytime. When you’re ready to return to casual teaching, simply switch bookings back ON. This will make you searchable in the school directory, provided your profile is set to “viewable to other schools” (found in your Settings page on ClassCover).

Returning to Casual Work? Update Your Availability First

When you’re ready to start accepting bookings again, make sure to switch bookings back ON and update your availability so schools know you’re back and ready to work. This helps ensure you appear in searches and receive booking requests.
