The Assembly page helps you put orders together by scanning each garment. CleanCloud tells you which rack to place it on and when every item in the order is accounted for. It works best if you use one-time garment tags with barcodes or heat seals to track individual garments.

Before you start

  • Turn on Use Assisted Assembly in Assembly settings. Go to More > Settings > Store Settings > Workflow > Assembly. See How to set up Assembly settings for the full setup.

  • Orders need to be created and on the Cleaning page.

  • Set up a screen near your garment rack area, with the Assembly page open.

  • Connect a wireless barcode scanner.

How to assemble an order

  1. Scan a garment’s barcode.

  2. The garment appears on the Assembly page with its order number, barcode and assigned rack.

  3. Place the garment on that rack.

  4. Keep scanning. Garments from the same customer and order go on the same rack.

  5. When you scan the last garment in the order, CleanCloud tells you the order is ready.

What you see on the Assembly page

  • The order number each garment belongs to.

  • The barcodes of the garments you’ve scanned.

  • The rack each order is assigned to.

  • How many items are on each rack.

  • A status, for example if an order is ready to be picked up.

How racks are assigned

  • Garments from the same order go on the same rack until it reaches your Pieces Per Rack Location limit.

  • If the limit is five, any extra garments go on another rack, even if they’re from the same order.

  • A garment from a different customer or order goes on a new, empty rack.

  • Number of Rack Locations sets how many racks you have in total.

When an order is complete

When every garment is scanned, CleanCloud can automatically mark the order as cleaned and move it to the Ready page, where the customer can be notified that it’s ready for pickup. This happens when Automatically Mark Order as Cleaned if All Garments Scanned is set to Yes. The rack is cleared so you can use it for other orders.

Choose when orders leave the Assembly page

Use Remove Order from Assembly When in Assembly settings to choose:

  • Order Cleaned: the order leaves the Assembly page once it’s marked as cleaned, and the rack is cleared.

  • Order Picked Up: the order stays on the Assembly page, and the rack stays in use, until the customer picks it up.

  • Manually: you remove the order yourself.
