Setting up your member app

Setting up your Member app correctly allows you to determine which actions and features your members can access and perform.

Updated this week

Setting up your Member App is a key step in creating a seamless and engaging experience for your members. Through the app settings, you can customise what actions members can perform, manage family and group access, choose which features are available, and set rules for how members interact with your business. By tailoring these settings, you ensure that the app aligns perfectly with your business operations while enhancing convenience and engagement for your members.

In this article we will cover:

To get started, access your Mobile app settings by going to Settings> Mobile App.

Enable your Member App

To enable the Member App, go to the General Tab and select the option to Click here to manage access to the app now. This can also be accessed by going to Access Settings.

From the Access Settings page. Click on the green button to Enable the Member app for your Members.

Feature Settings

If you are using the Custom Branded Member App, the Feature Settings page allows you to choose which features appear to your Members when they log into the Member app. Turn the features off an on via the toggles on the right.

If you're using the Clubworx Branded app, this option is not available. Interested in customising the Member app and enhancing your Members' experience? Reach out to our Support team for more information on upgrading to the Custom Branded Member App.

Access Settings

The Access Settings page can be used to Enable your app, but also includes a number of options to be configured.

Allow / block logins based on contact type or status: This option determines which contact types can access the Member app. Cancelled and suspended members, can be denied access to the Member app.

Family Management: This option determines whether family members can manage memberships and bookings for one another. Choose from parents managing kids, All family members managing each other, or no family members (each contact manages themselves).

Advanced Settings:

  • Allowing contacts to 'Book all future events' gives them access to book all repeating events in a series.

  • Allow bookings to be made for contacts behind on payments gives members with failed payments the ability to book classes.

  • Require a valid payment method for membership purchases means that members have to have wallet details on their member profile to be able to access the Membership section and purchase memberships. This can prevent members from purchasing memberships without making payment.

  • Allow cancelled members to access workouts allows members to view and complete workouts without an active membership.

  • Allow cancelled members to use make up classes from the mobile app will allow the member to use up any left over make up classes even if their membership has expired.

  • Allow Attendees to see Online Meeting details once they have booked into an event will give your member access to see only joining details if they have booked an online class.

  • Show Event 'Max Attendees' limit inside the Mobile app? Allows you to determine if the attendee limit for each class should display on the calendar. This setting is only available to Custom Branded App users.

  • Display Products on MyShop even if they are out of stock? Allows a product that is out of stock to still appear on the MyShop section of the app. his setting is only available to Custom Branded App users.

Design Settings

For Custom Branded App Users the Design Settings section allows you to request changes to your app design. In this section you can upload new images, or choose a new brand colour and this information will be sent to our support team to help implement the change for you.

Website Settings

This setting will allow members to request access to the mobile app from your Clubworx website.

Once enabled, the request access form can be used from the Clubworx hosted website. Or be embedded in your own website. You are also able to edit the copy that accompanies the request form.

Enabling the Request form also gives you access to the Access Requests page which will appear on the left hand side menu. This page shows you the members who have requested access to the member app and allows you to enable them and send the mobile app invitation.
