Syncing Smart Scale Weight Data into CoachRx

Get bodyweight readings from a smart scale (Withings, Renpho, Fitbit Aria, Eufy, Garmin Index) into CoachRx through Apple Health, Google Health Connect, or Fitbit so your client's weight populates in OPEX Body automatically.

CoachRx does not pair with smart scales directly. Instead, weight readings flow in through the wearable platform your client already uses - Apple Health, Google Health Connect, or Fitbit. Once the scale syncs to that platform, the weight value lands in OPEX Body automatically.

Step 1: Connect Your Scale to Apple Health, Google Health, or Fitbit

Every smart-scale brand has its own companion app. Open that app, weigh in once, and confirm the weight reading appears in the right place:

  • iPhone: Open the Apple Health app and look under Browse - Body Measurements - Weight.

  • Android: Open Google Health Connect and confirm your scale's app is granted Write access for Weight.

  • Fitbit scale: Open the Fitbit app and confirm the weight reading appears under Today.

If the weight does not show up here first, it will not flow into CoachRx. Fix the scale-to-platform sync before moving on.

Step 2: Make Sure CoachRx Is Connected

Your client needs Apple Health, Google Health, or Fitbit connected to CoachRx in their mobile app:

  1. Open the CoachRx mobile app.

  2. Tap Profile - Connected Apps.

  3. Confirm the platform you use shows as Connected.

  4. If not, tap Connect and grant permissions including Weight / Body Measurements.

Step 3: Confirm Weight Lands in OPEX Body

CoachRx pulls the most recent weight reading into the client's OPEX Body metrics each day. To verify:

  1. Open the client's profile on the web app.

  2. Go to the Progress tab.

  3. Look for Bodyweight under OPEX Body.

  4. The reading should match the most recent weigh-in within 24 hours.

Troubleshooting

Weight is in Apple Health / Google Health but not in CoachRx.

  • Confirm Weight permission is granted in Connected Apps.

  • Force-quit and reopen the CoachRx mobile app.

  • Wait for the next daily sync (usually overnight).

Weight is in CoachRx but the value looks wrong.

  • Apple Health and Google Health may receive readings from multiple sources. CoachRx pulls the most recent. Check for duplicate sources in the platform app.

I want manual weight entry instead.

  • Disconnect the wearable platform in CoachRx and have the client log weight manually under Lifestyle in the mobile app.

ℹ️

Bodyweight is currently pulled into OPEX Body. A future update will let coaches assign Bodyweight as a Lifestyle Rx with wearable auto-pull. Until then, OPEX Body is the destination.
