Summary
Cuttable can connect to your TikTok Ads account and publish ads to TikTok for you. This is a Labs feature, so it's an early release that isn't switched on by default. If you'd like to use it, reach out to support (jump into chat) and we'll enable it for your account.
⭐ Labs feature
TikTok publishing is in Labs, our early-access program. It works, but it's still being refined, so you may hit the odd bug and the experience will change as we improve it. It isn't on by default. To get access, message us in chat and we'll turn it on for your account.
What the TikTok integration does
Once enabled, you can:
Connect your TikTok Ads account to Cuttable.
Publish your Cuttable ads (9:16 video) straight to TikTok as Smart+ ads.
Set whether ads publish as Enabled or Paused by default.
See your TikTok publishing history alongside your Meta publishing in Cuttable.
Before you connect
You'll need three things set up on the TikTok side first (manage these at business.tiktok.com):
A TikTok account.
A Business Center.
A TikTok Ad Account.
Both your Ad Account and your TikTok account need to be added to your Business Center, and your TikTok account needs to be linked to the advertiser (ad) account. If any of these aren't set up, the connection won't complete.
⭐ Important: TikTok connects through the individual user, not the business. If you're an agency, connecting will pull in every TikTok account that user has access to, so connect with the right login.
How to connect TikTok
Select your initials in the bottom left corner of the Cuttable screen.
Click Settings, then open the Connectors tab.
On the TikTok card, select Connect.
You’ll be sent back to the Connectors tab, where the TikTok card now shows Connected.”
Why TikTok asks for these permissions
We only request what we need to publish ads on your behalf:
Publishing ads so we can create and push ads into your TikTok campaigns.
Payment profile (read only) we read your account balance to confirm there are funds available. TikTok won't let an ad publish if the account has no money. We don't move or change anything, it's read only.
Manage ad account so we can create the campaign and ad group your ad sits in.
If you untick any of these, publishing won't work.
How to publish an ad to TikTok
Go to Your Ads.
Select the ad group you want to publish.
Tick the ads you'd like to publish (TikTok publishing uses your 9:16 video executions).
Start the TikTok publish flow and follow the steps.
Choose an existing Smart+ campaign or create a new one, set your budget, and confirm.
Choosing publish status
You can set whether ads land in TikTok as Enabled (live) or Paused. Set a default in your TikTok settings so you don't have to choose every time, and override it per publish when you need to.
Why an existing campaign isn't showing in the dropdown
Cuttable publishes to Smart+ campaigns. If you have existing campaigns that don't appear, it's because they're a different campaign type (for example standard video views or reach campaigns). Only Smart+ campaigns will show up in the publish flow. Create a new Smart+ campaign from within the flow if you don't have one yet.
Need a hand?
Any issues, feedback, or bugs, jump into chat and send them through. That comes straight to the product team. And if TikTok publishing isn't enabled for your account yet, that's the place to ask us to switch it on.
