What is Rounding "Round up"?

Rounding or "Round up" is an optional feature that automatically invests the spare change from your eligible card purchases into assets of your choice (such as BTC or precious metals). Every eligible card payment gets rounded up to the next whole euro, and that difference is automatically invested for you.

For example, if you spend €2.40, it rounds up to €3.00 - so €0.60 gets invested.

You can also add a Booster to increase the invested amount. All available assets and options are shown directly in the app.

What is the Booster?

The Booster is an optional setting that lets you invest more than just your spare change. On top of the base rounding amount, you can add a fixed extra contribution.

For example, on a €2.40 purchase (base rounding = €0.60):

  • No Booster → €0.60 invested

  • +€1 Booster → €1.60 invested

Booster types, values, and calculation methods are always defined and displayed in the app.

If you don't actively select a Booster, it's treated as inactive - meaning only the base rounding amount is invested, but Rounding stays on.

How do I enable or disable Rounding?

You can set it up during your first card creation, or manage it anytime from the Cards section in the app. You can activate or deactivate it at any time, free of charge, with no commitment required.

Before activation:

After Activation:

Does Rounding apply to all my cards?

Yes! Once enabled, Rounding applies to all your Deblock cards - both physical and virtual - without distinction.

When exactly does Rounding happen?

Rounding is triggered when a card payment clears (final settlement) - not when it's first authorised. You won't see a Rounding while a payment is pending. Once the merchant submits the final charge, Rounding kicks in.

When do I actually receive my assets?

Your Rounding amounts are collected throughout the week and then converted into your chosen asset (BTC, etc.) once a week.

Why hasn't my Rounding shown up yet?

A few common reasons:

  • The transaction is still pending - merchants can sometimes take time to submit final settlement

  • The transaction was cancelled, reversed, or refunded

  • You had insufficient EUR balance at the time the Rounding was due to be processed - in this case, Deblock may skip that Rounding

  • Your Rounding is waiting for the weekly crediting cycle

Will I see a separate Rounding transaction in my feed?

Rounding transactions are visible in your transaction feed and in your Crypto tab, showing the amount converted, the conversion rate applied, and the quantity of assets credited.

What happens if a payment is refunded after it already cleared?

Rounding is triggered at clearing. Transactions that are pending, cancelled before settlement, or refunded are not eligible. If a transaction cleared and was later refunded, the Rounding may still have occurred - contact support if you have concerns.

Does Rounding change my card payment amount?

Not at all. Your card payment stays exactly the same. The Rounding amount is a separate debit from your EUR account used to purchase your chosen asset.

Can I change the asset or Booster after activation?

Yes, anytime from the Cards section in the app - free of charge. Changes apply to transactions that clear after the change has been processed (within 24 hours of your confirmation).

Which assets can I invest in with Rounding?

The assets available under Rounding (such as BTC or precious metals) are listed and updated directly in the app. Deblock can update this list at any time, so check the app for the latest options.

Is Rounding free?

Activating Rounding is completely free. Standard conversion fees may apply when your spare change is converted into assets - you can check the full fee schedule on deblock.com.

Can I undo a Rounding transaction?

Unfortunately, Rounding transactions that have already been executed cannot be undone - even if you deactivate the feature afterwards.

If you'd like to stop future Rounding transactions, you can turn off the feature anytime from the Cards section in the app.

Where can I find the Rounding Terms & Conditions?
