The following guide provides you with the essential information to help you get started with booking and issuing Turkish Airlines tickets. Here, you can learn more about the product features and the post-sale support available.
📍What can you do in the Turkish Airlines channel?
In this channel you can:
Make a calculation;
Create a booking or issue instantly;
View the created bookings;
Enter additional data. For example, passport, phone number, email address, miles card;
Reprice on the day of issue;
Issue tickets;
Add additional services (after the issuance);
Void tickets;
Refund tickets;
Cancel booking.
💡 How to create and issue tickets via DRCT search?
Step 1. Search
✏️ To get started, enter your search parameters and then click «Search». DRCT will provide you with flight options in a few moments.
Step 2: Create the booking
✏️ Select the flight and price that you would like, and then provide the passenger details. You may enter contact details if needed. Otherwise, information from your DRCT account will be included.
Press the «Book» button once you're done. Or «Instant Issue» button if you are ready to issue the ticket immediately.
✏️ To open only the booking that you have created, please click on the green pop-up line labeled "Open booking.”
Step 3: Issue
✏️ Once you are redirected to the booking page, enter and save passport information.
✏️When you are done, click on the «Issue» button located in the top right corner of the page to generate your tickets.
✏️ All tickets issued will be included in the «Sales» section on the DRCT.aero website. Here you can download the ticket in PDF format.
📈 Reprice on the date of issue
If you issue the ticket on the next day after the booking creation, the price may change. When you click "Issue", a window with the recalculated price will appear.
If the price is acceptable, click "Issue".
Otherwise, click "Cancel" to discard the action.
❗️If the price hasn’t changed, the ticket will be issued without any additional notifications.
❌ Void and cancellation
After the tickets are issued, you are allowed to void them until the end of the day. For that, click "Void and cancel" button at the top right corner. The segments will be also removed automatically.
❗️The void is processed for all passengers in the booking. To split the passengers — please reach the support team.
💬 How to create and issue tickets via DRCT extension?
Step 1. To start working in DRCT, enter in your GDS.
Passenger name.
Flight segment.
Calculation command, e.g. FXB.
❗️The following pricing commands are currently supported:
1. FXB
2. FXA
3. FXB/KC
4. FXB/SBF
5. FXB/R UP
Step 2: Calculate and book.
✏️ At this point, DRCT will offer to calculate. At the right of the corner calculation window will pop up with price quote offered by DRCT. Click on the «Book» button to start creating the reservation.
✏️ You will be redirected to the booking page in the search. Open the flight details, select the desired fare, following the flow described in a previous section.
✏️ The passenger and flight details will be filled in automatically.
Press the «Book» button to complete the reservation. Or «Instant Issue» button if you are ready to issue the ticket immediately.
✏️ Further management of the booking will also take place on the DRCT website.
✈️ Code-share and Interline flights
If a booking includes segments operated by another carrier (as a codeshare or interline), the ticketing time limit in DRCT will be limited to 2 hours.
This happens because in the Turkish NDC system, the airline provides a time limit only for its own TK flights, but not for flights operated by other carriers. If the other carrier’s time limit is shorter — the ticket cannot be issued.
After the time limit expires, the booking in DRCT will be automatically canceled.
But it will remain active in the airline’s system until the TK time limit expires. To check the exact time limit, please contact our support team.
💼 Post-Sales
Adding the frequent flyer number
At the bottom of the booking, there is a field to enter the mileage card. Enter the carrier, the card number, and click "Save".
Purchase of additional services
At the booking stage, you can view the available additional services. In DRCT, you can add baggage, seat selection, and services (SPEQ). All services can only be added or purchased after the tickets have been issued.
💸 Refund
You can calculate the amount and process the refund in DRCT on your side. To do this, please click the “Refund” button at the top of the booking. First, you will see a window with the refund amount calculation, and then you can confirm or cancel the refund.
❗️The refund is automatically calculated for all passengers in the booking. To make a split — please contact support.
