If you update the time of a group ticket and notice that inventory is not syncing correctly, this usually happens because the ticket variant is not configured to create individual tickets for each group member.
Why This Happens
When the option “Each group member should be given their own ticket” is not enabled, Evey creates only one attendee record when a group ticket is purchased.
This means:
A group booking is treated as one attendee in the system.
Inventory adjustments and time updates apply to that single attendee record.
The individual participants in the group are not tracked separately.
If the time slot for the ticket is later changed, this can create inventory inconsistencies because the system does not have separate attendee records for each participant.
How to Prevent This Issue
To avoid inventory discrepancies when using group tickets, enable the option:
“Each group member should be given their own ticket.”
Steps
Go to Evey → Events
Open the event and go to Tickets
Edit the ticket variant used for group bookings.
Enable:
Each group member should be given their own ticket
What This Setting Does
When this option is enabled:
Evey creates a separate attendee record for each group member
Each attendee has their own ticket
Time updates can be managed per attendee
This helps ensure inventory and attendee records stay properly synced when time slots are changed.
Important Note
This setting applies to future purchases only.
Existing group orders that were created before enabling this option will still have a single attendee record, so any changes to those bookings may need to be adjusted manually.
