The Examply desktop app wraps the same workspace you use in the browser in a native window, with a few extras: a menu bar quick-add, native notifications, and a global shortcut for starting a timer.

Installing on macOS
Download the .dmg from your workspace settings under Apps, or from examply.com/download.
Open the .dmg and drag Examply into your Applications folder.
Launch Examply and sign in with your workspace URL and credentials.
When prompted, allow notifications so task reminders and @mentions reach you outside the app.
Installing on Windows
Download the .exe installer from your workspace settings under Apps, or from examply.com/download.
Run the installer. No admin rights are required for a per-user install.
Launch Examply and sign in with your workspace URL and credentials.
Pin Examply to your taskbar for quicker access to the quick-add window.
Note: The desktop app updates automatically in the background. You'll see a small badge on the app icon when a restart is needed to finish an update.
What's different from the browser
A global shortcut opens a quick-add window from anywhere on your machine, even when Examply isn't the active window

Multiple workspaces can be added and switched between from the app's workspace switcher
Everything else — Board, List, Timeline, Calendar, timers, and permissions — works exactly as it does in the browser, since the desktop app loads the same underlying web app.
Signing in with SSO
If your workspace is on the Enterprise plan with SAML single sign-on, the desktop app detects your workspace URL and redirects to your identity provider automatically. There's no separate desktop configuration — whatever your admin set up for SAML applies to the app the same way it applies to the browser.
Guest and Member accounts
Guests and Members can install and use the desktop app the same as Owners and Admins. The app doesn't change what you can see or do — that's still controlled by your role and which projects you've been invited to.
Uninstalling
On macOS, drag Examply from Applications to the Trash. On Windows, use Settings > Apps > Installed apps and remove Examply. Uninstalling the app doesn't affect your workspace data — everything stays in sync in the browser.
