Workspace settings and branding

How to update your workspace name, logo, timezone, and locale, and where to find every other workspace-level setting.

Every Examply workspace has a name, logo, and a handful of defaults that shape what teammates see when they sign in. This article covers updating your workspace name and logo, setting your default timezone and locale, and where to find every other workspace-level setting.

Only the Owner and Admins can change workspace settings. Members and Guests can see the workspace name but can't edit it.

Note: Workspace settings apply to everyone in the workspace. If you only want to change how dates or times look for yourself, update your personal profile instead — that won't affect other teammates.

Update your workspace name and logo

  1. Open workspace settings from the sidebar and go to General.

  2. Click the workspace name field and enter a new name.

  3. Click Upload logo and choose a PNG or SVG file.

  4. Click Save.

Examply shows the workspace name and logo in the sidebar, in browser tab titles, and in emails sent to teammates. Changes apply immediately for everyone signed in. If your team uses the desktop or mobile apps, the new logo appears the next time they sync, which usually happens within a few minutes.

Set your default timezone and locale

Examply uses your workspace timezone for due dates, timesheets, and activity timestamps unless a teammate sets a different one on their personal profile. This matters most for teams split across regions — for example, a workspace based in London with teammates in New York and Singapore should set the workspace timezone to match wherever due dates are usually agreed on, such as the client's timezone.

  1. Open workspace settings and go to General.

  2. Choose a timezone from the Workspace timezone dropdown.

  3. Choose a date format from the Locale dropdown.

  4. Click Save.

Teammates can still override the workspace timezone from their own profile settings without affecting anyone else's view of due dates.

Tips

  • Use a square logo of at least 256x256 pixels — Examply crops non-square uploads to fit the sidebar icon.

  • Changing the workspace timezone doesn't change due dates already set on tasks; it only changes how future dates and timestamps display.

  • Contact support@examply.com if you need to rename a workspace's URL slug — that change isn't self-serve.
