When you tap a PDF file in the original Fieldwork mobile app Adobe Acrobat does not open. This can occur when the local cache in Adobe Acrobat has too many files.

Clear the cache in Adobe Acrobat by deleting all the files
To clear the local cache in Adobe Acrobat:
Tap Adobe Acrobat on your device
Tap the left arrow at the top of the page
3. Delete all the files:
In iOS, tap a file and swipe to the left, tap Delete
4. Go back into Fieldwork and open the PDF file.
