Summary

From time-to-time issues may appear while using the Fieldwork app on an iOS device. First, note what the iOS Version is. It could be an unseen issue if Apple recently released a new iOS version.

Key Points

  • Close all other apps to free up memory

  • Do a cold shutdown

  • Calendar issues, be sure you're looking at the current day

  • Make sure you're using cellular data if WIFI is off

  • How much storage is available on your device?

  • Delete and reinstall the app

Close all other apps
Double-press the home button to bring up the multi-task switching bar and then close all apps that are running in the background by swiping up each app.

Try Fieldwork again

Do a cold shutdown
Hold down the home button + side lock button for about 5 seconds to fully turn off the device. Wait 30 seconds and press the side lock button to power the device back up.

Try Fieldwork again

Did your device update its iOS version?
If the iOS version is updated, such as going from 11.1 to 11.2 and you're suddenly experiencing problems, uninstall Fieldwork and reinstall it from the App Store, search for Fieldwork Mobile. (Remember your email log in and password.)

Note If it's a full update, such as going from 10.3.2 to 11.0, do not update your iPhone or iPad until you receive the go ahead from us. The new version will possibly break our mobile app as Apple does not share ahead of time the changes that have been made in how our software interacts with the new iOS. If you're using a mobile PDF reader for your forms, that may also be broken.

Please wait until you receive the go ahead from us.

Calendar issues
Are you looking at today?

If you are in the calendar, and there are no appointments for today, tap your finger and drag it down (release your finger) to refresh. Are the appointments there?

Make sure you're logged in with an account that has a route. You can see only the appointments assigned to your route on the mobile app. If you're logged in as someone else or logged in as an account without a route, you won't see the appointments.

Is the tech using cellular data?
In Settings, tap Cellular
Scroll down to Fieldwork
Is the slider bar green?
If no, slide the bar to the right to make it green

Try Fieldwork again

How much storage is available on your device?
In Settings, tap General, tap Storage & iCloud Usage
Under Storage, tap Manage Storage
How much storage is available?
If there isn't much, delete some things and try again

If there's a lot of storage available:
Scroll down to and tap Fieldwork
How much Documents & Data storage does he have?
If it's more than 200mb, tap Delete App
When it's deleted, do the cold shutdown as mentioned above for 30 seconds
Reinstall the app

Delete the app and reinstall

If none of the above work.
