How to choose which of the five options available when closing a Work Order

Summary

There are five options available when closing a Work Order on the mobile app, each has a different function.

Key Points

  • Make your selection based on how you want to proceed

  • Complete & Email brings up your email app

  • Save & Exit. Saves the work and exits the Work Order; use this to revisit the Work Order at a later time - or when you have more than one tech working on a job; all should Save & Exit and, in the browser, complete the work order after ensuring all data posted

  • Complete & Exit. Completes the work and sends an email through our system to the customer's email address on file

  • Complete & Print. Completes the work and prints the invoice

  • Complete & Email. Completes the work, opens up the email, and allows you to enter a new email address. For example, the person who normally receives the email is on vacation and you need to send it to someone else.*

  • Preview. Saves the work and allows you to see the invoice on your device

* Complete & Email email comes from the default email account on the device, to change this:

On an iOS device select which email account it comes from, tap Complete & Email, then tap and hold the default email address and select the new email address in the drop-down list.

On Android, tap Complete & Email, then choose your email provider.
