Can I move my existing eSIM to a new device?
No, you cannot simply transfer an existing eSIM to another phone.
For security and technical reasons, an eSIM profile is locked to a single device once it is installed. It cannot be scanned again or moved like a physical SIM card. If you switch to a new phone, the old eSIM will not work on the new device.
Important Clarification: If you are reinstalling the eSIM on the same device (for example, if you deleted it accidentally), you can use the original QR code again.
However, if you are installing on a different device, you must purchase a new eSIM. eSIMs are permanently locked to the first device where they are installed and cannot be transferred.
Important clarification: Reinstalling vs switching devices
It is important to distinguish between reinstalling an eSIM on the same device and installing it on a different device.
Reinstalling on the same device:
If you deleted the eSIM from your phone by accident, you can install it again using the same QR code, as long as it is being installed on the same device.
Installing on a new device:
If you are trying to install the eSIM on a different phone, the original QR code will not work.
In this case, you must purchase a new eSIM, as each eSIM profile is permanently locked to the first device where it was installed.
Deleting the eSIM from the original phone does not unlock it for use on another device.
How to get Firsty on your new phone
Since your existing eSIM is tied to your old phone, you will need to issue a new eSIM profile for your new device. You can do this easily through the app while keeping your existing account.
Steps to get a new eSIM:
Open the Firsty app on your phone.
Navigate to the Support section.
Select "Purchase new eSIM" (see image below).
Follow the prompts to purchase a replacement eSIM for a small fee (€0.90).
Install the new eSIM on your new device to regain connectivity.
