Why should I delete an eSIM?
The Firsty eSIM is designed for reuse across multiple trips and does not need to be deleted. However, deleting an eSIM can be necessary in certain situations, such as an eSIM installation failure. If you do need to remove it, you can do so directly through your phone’s settings.
Device-Specific Instructions
For iPhone Users
To delete an eSIM on your iPhone:
Open the Settings app.
Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data, depending on your region).
Under the Cellular Plans section, select the Firsty eSIM plan.
Tap Remove Cellular Plan (or Delete eSIM).
Confirm the removal by tapping Remove again. Make sure you follow these steps specifically when instructed to delete your eSIM by Firsty support to resolve technical issues or to prepare for a new eSIM.
For Android Users
To delete an eSIM on your Android phone:
Open Settings on your phone.
Tap Connections.
Select SIM Manager.
Under eSIMs, locate the eSIM you want to remove.
Tap on the eSIM, then select Remove or Delete.
Confirm the action when prompted. Ensure you’ve identified the eSIM correctly, especially if prompted by Firsty support, to avoid service disruptions.
Important Considerations and Warnings
Only Delete eSIM When Instructed: Unless explicitly instructed by the Firsty support team, avoid deleting your eSIM. Unnecessary deletion may result in service interruptions and could require a replacement fee to reinstall the eSIM.
Identify the Correct eSIM: Ensure that you are deleting the correct eSIM associated with Firsty (BICS or Proximus networks). Incorrect deletions could lead to connectivity issues with other service providers.
eSIM Deletion vs Account Deletion: Delete only the eSIM, not your entire Firsty account. Deleting your account could result in permanent loss of data and require additional recovery steps.
You can delete and download the same SIM 3 times before your SIM is not allowed to download again.
