An eSIM is a digital SIM that lets you activate a cellular plan without needing a physical SIM card. Before getting started, you’ll need to make sure your device supports eSIM technology and is unlocked.
Firsty works on nearly all eSIM-compatible phones, giving you the freedom to connect without a physical SIM card.
Does Your Device Support eSIM?
To use a Firsty eSIM, your device must:
– Support eSIM technology
– Be carrier unlocked (not restricted to one network)
– Not be jailbroken (iOS) or rooted (Android)
If your device is carrier-locked, you may need to contact your mobile provider to unlock it before installing a Firsty eSIM.
HOW TO CHECK?
Android
1: Check for EID (other devices)
Open your Phone app
Dial
*#06#Look for a 32-digit EID number (If your device shows an EID, it means it has eSIM capability and can be used with digital SIM services.)
2: Samsung Devices
Go to Settings → Connections → SIM Manager
If Add eSIM is available, your device likely supports eSIM
3: Google Pixel Devices
Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs
Tap the + and look for Download a SIM instead?
Apple
Go to Settings → Cellular → Add Cellular Plan.
If you see the option to Add eSIM, it means your device supports eSIM.
Open Settings → General → About.
Look for a field labeled EID - this confirms your device has eSIM hardware.
Check the Carrier Lock status:
“No SIM restrictions” = unlocked
Any other status = may be locked
If you’re unsure, verify your device model with Apple or your original carrier to confirm eSIM compatibility.
