An eSIM is a digital SIM that lets you activate a cellular plan without needing a physical SIM card. Before getting started, you'll need to make sure your device supports this technology. The following is a list of common eSIM-compatible devices, but please note that this list is not exhaustive as new models are released frequently.

Firsty works on nearly all eSIM-compatible phones, giving you the freedom to connect without a physical SIM card.

Apple Devices

iPhones

All iPhones from the iPhone XS onward support eSIM. In the United States, iPhone 14 models and newer are eSIM-only, meaning they don't have a physical SIM tray. Newer models like the iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 continue this trend and are eSIM-only in the U.S., Japan, and other regions.

  • iPhone SE 2nd Gen (2020) and SE 3rd Gen (2022)

Important Note: iPhones purchased in mainland China and Hong Kong do not support eSIM, with some exceptions for certain models.

iPads

Only the WiFi + Cellular models of these iPads are eSIM compatible:

  • iPad Pro 11″ and 12.9″ (2020 models and newer)

  • iPad Air (2019 and newer models)

  • iPad (2019 and newer models)

  • iPad Mini (2019 and newer models)

Samsung Devices

Samsung has added eSIM support to its premium smartphones and foldable devices, and it is a standard feature on all recent flagship lines.

  • Galaxy S Series: S20, S21, S22, S23, S24 series, and the newer S25 series.

  • Galaxy Note & Z Series: Galaxy Note 20 series, and the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series, including the latest Z Fold6, Z Flip6, and Z Fold7 models.

  • Galaxy A Series: Galaxy A54 and A55 5G. Newer models like the A35 5G and A56 5G also support eSIM.

Important Note: Samsung devices from the USA, South Korea, China, and Hong Kong may not support eSIM.

Google Pixel Devices

Google has been a pioneer in adopting eSIM technology. eSIM is a standard feature across the entire Pixel lineup starting with the Pixel 2 XL.

  • Pixel 2 XL

  • Pixel 3, 3 XL, 3a, and 3a XL

  • Pixel 4, 4a, and 4 XL

  • Pixel 5 and 5a

  • Pixel 6, 6a, and 6 Pro

  • Pixel 7, 7a, and 7 Pro

  • Pixel 8, 8a, and 8 Pro

  • Pixel 9 series (including the Pixel 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro XL)

  • Pixel Fold

Important Note: Some Pixel 3 and 3a models purchased in Australia, Japan, Taiwan, USA, and Canada may not support eSIM.

  • Newer models like the Xiaomi 14 and 15 series also support eSIM.

  • Motorola Razr (2019), Razr 5G, Razr 40, Razr 40 Ultra, and Razr+

  • Motorola Edge+, Edge 40, Edge 40 Pro, and Edge 40 Neo

  • Motorola G52J 5G, G53J 5G, G54 5G, and G84
