Yes. Working through Florence doesn't stop you working anywhere else.
You're an independent contractor, not an employee, so you're not tied to us. Lots of people use Florence to top up a permanent job, to fill gaps around another agency, or to keep their hand in while they study. That's the point of it.
We don't ask you to work a minimum number of shifts and we don't mind where else you work.
A few practical things.
Don't double-book yourself. If you book a Florence shift and then take work elsewhere at the same time, one of them is getting let down, and cancelling late affects your rating and may cost you a fee.
Keep your availability roughly up to date. It costs you nothing and it means you see more of the shifts that actually fit around your other job.
Watch your hours. Nobody is tracking your total across every employer except you. Working a night shift somewhere else and then a day shift with us is your call to make, but make it deliberately. The residents you're caring for deserve someone who has slept.
Your registration and your documents are yours, and they cover you wherever you work. If your CNO registration lapses, it lapses everywhere.
If a care home offers you a permanent job.
It happens, and it's usually a compliment. Care homes meet good people through Florence and sometimes want to hire them.
That's your decision to make, and we'd rather you made it with your eyes open than quietly. Have a look at your Worker Contract first, and talk to us before you agree anything. There may be terms that apply, and it's much better to know that beforehand than afterwards.
We'd genuinely rather have the conversation. If somewhere is a good fit for you permanently, that's not a bad outcome, and we'd sooner help you get it right than find out later.
