You need two references before you can start working with us. They're how we confirm your clinical experience.
At least one reference must be from a healthcare role. Your second can be from a non-healthcare employer if you need it to be.
Between them, your references need to cover the experience we ask for: six months if you're a personal support worker, or one year if you're a nurse.
We can accept a reference from a previous healthcare employer. They need to reply from their work email address, not a personal one such as Gmail or Hotmail.
We can also accept a reference from a supervisory nurse who has overseen your clinical practice. We'll need their CNO number.
Your references need to match the work history you give us. If the dates or the employers don't line up, we'll come back to you to check.
If we can't confirm your care experience through your references, we won't be able to take your application any further. So if you're struggling to get hold of a referee, please tell us rather than leaving it. Email hello.ca@florenceapp.com and we'll talk it through with you.
