Updated over 10 months ago

Costing is available to:

  • Plans: Business, Premium, and Premium Plus

  • Team Members: Account Owner, Editors, and Managers

Adding purchase costs directly to your ingredients in meez is easy.

Updating the cost of the ingredient will ensure the cost is updated in every recipe that uses that ingredient by any unit of measure.

Invoice processing is available on our Premium Plus subscriptions. To learn more about invoice processing see this article.

Step 1:

Go to the Cost Tab of your Recipe

Make sure you're in EDIT mode

Step 2:

Add the purchase cost and purchase unit of measure to the ingredient

  • Click on the edit pencil to the right of the ingredient under cost.

  • Enter the cost and the purchase unit. Ex. $20 per lb, or each or by the case!

  • Not finding your purchase unit of measure in the drop down? Create a custom unit based on how you buy the item. see below how - simply define the new unit from the modal

You can also add costs by going to the Ingredient's detail page

From a recipe, make sure you're in View Mode (press DONE if in EDIT mode) then click on the ingredient

Make sure you are in editing mode. Just as on the recipe page add your cost and purchase UoM or create a custom unit based on how you buy the item.

You can also get to the ingredient's detail page from the search box and the home table page.

You can also upload purchase costs via a .csv upload & via automated purchase integrations learn more about that here.
