Contact re-entry rules prevent the same contact from receiving a flow too often.
They help you protect the customer experience and limit marketing pressure.
Send automation only once in a lifetime
When the "No one can enter more than 1 time" option is turned on for a flow:
👉 The rule applies to every contact, including those who went through the flow before it was turned on.
⚙️ How it works
Before each entry into the flow, the system checks whether the contact has already entered it at least once
If yes → ❌ the contact can never enter it again
If no → ✅ the contact can enter (only once)
📌 Key points
The filter is retroactive
Contacts who already went through the flow are automatically excluded from future entries
No automatic "reset" is applied
💡 Use cases
Ideal for one-time flows (welcome, onboarding, etc.)
Avoid it if you want to allow multiple entries (e.g. abandoned cart, replenishment…)
Send automation to contact no more than once every…
This option sets a minimum interval between two runs of the flow for the same contact (e.g. once every 15 days).
👉 Recommended for:
recurring reminders (example: Abandoned checkout)
periodic notifications
