Use this when you want to turn a set of crossing lines into the areas between them, for example making lot polygons from road centerlines and a site boundary that cross each other.
Category: Geometric Operations
Kind: Operation
Description: Returns polygons created by overlapping or intersecting input geometry.
Inputs
Name | Abbreviation | Type | Access | Description |
Feature | F | Feature | List | The lines or shapes to process. |
Outputs
Name | Abbreviation | Type | Access | Description |
Polygons | P | Feature | List | The polygons enclosed by the input geometries. |
How to
Open the flow in the Flow Builder and add the Enclosed Polygons node.
Connect the lines or shapes that cross each other to the Feature connector.
Connect the Polygons output to the next node in your flow, for example Subdivide Lots.
Enclosed Polygons only returns areas that are fully closed. Line ends that stop short of another line are ignored, and only the outer boundary of each input polygon is used. Every new polygon takes the properties of the first input geometry.
