Pausing stops billing for 30 days while leaving everything in place. It is offered during the cancellation flow and is worth considering before cancelling outright, particularly if your reason for leaving is temporary. By the end of this your subscription will be paused, or you will know whether pausing suits your situation.

How to pause
Pausing is offered as step 2 of the cancellation flow.
Open
Subscriptionin the Atlas menu.Start the cancellation process.
Step 1 asks why you are leaving. Answer it, since it takes a moment and a human reads them.

💡 If you are stepping away for a season, between product launches, or simply want a break from the cost, pausing is almost always better than cancelling. It costs the same as cancelling for those 30 days, which is nothing, and there is nothing to set up again afterwards.

Resuming
Re-subscribe at any point during or after the pause. Everything continues from where it was, with no reconfiguration.
While the pause lasts, Atlas shows a banner headed Your subscription is paused, which restates what stays live: "Your stores, pages, bundles, and carts stay live. Resume anytime to keep your plan going." If you set an end date, the banner names it: Paused until {date}.
Select Resume subscription on that banner to come back.
Ending a pause early
You can end a pause and cancel outright without waiting the full 30 days. The cancellation flow shows End pause and cancel, and the confirmation step states:
Your pause ends and your subscription is cancelled now. Nothing else will be charged.
That last sentence matters. Cancelling from a paused state does not produce a final charge, because there is no active billing period to finish.
