Who this is for: Hosts and Cleaning Companies with a cleaning credential.
What is this job about?
After the movers drop off and assemble the large furniture, you turn the apartment into a Landing home. You unpack and set up the housewares, clean the entire home, and stage every room to Landing's standards, so it is ready for its first member. See Landing Cleaning Standards.
Some Installation Coordinator jobs also include mounting the TVs and hanging the art, and the job description tells you whether yours does. Landing and your Area General Manager support you through the chat all day, so let them know as soon as anything comes up. This is a critical job, so if you cannot make it, let Landing know as early as you can, because you cannot release it yourself inside 24 hours of the start time.
What do I need before I start?
Before you head to the home, check you have everything in this table. The times are a guide for each home size.
Credential | Cleaning credential |
How long it takes | About 7 hours for a 1 bedroom home, 8 hours for a 2 bedroom home, 9 hours for a 3 bedroom home, and 10 hours for a 4 bedroom home |
What to bring | Your cleaning kit, a tape measure, your phone and charger, trash bags, dryer sheets, dish detergent tabs, stain remover, and your PEX Card. If your job includes TV mounting and art hanging, also bring a power drill and drill bits, screws, 2" drywall screws, toggle bolts, a level, a stud finder, and a socket set. See Building Your Host Cleaning Kit. |
Access | Read the access instructions in your job before you arrive. See Getting In. |
Don't skip these
Complete every task in the Host App as instructed, and upload the photos each task asks for. A job is not complete until every task is done. Pay particular attention to these:
"Unbox Housewares Items and Break Down Boxes." Remove all plastic, tags, and stickers, break down every box, and take the boxes to the property's dumpster when you leave. See Houseware Inventory & Room Location.
"Art and TV Installation," if your job includes it. Hang the art and mount the TVs once the furniture is in place. See Mounting and Placing TVs.
"What is the Wifi Speed?" Run a speed test. If it is below 50 Mbps, unplug the router, plug it back in, and test again. See Landing WiFi.
"The Departing Checklist." Set the thermostat to 72, leave the member's keys, fobs, and parking passes on the kitchen counter, return any remaining keys to the lockbox, replace the trash liners, take all the trash with you, close and lock the windows, close the blinds, and lock the door.
What if something is not right?
You cannot mount a TV, or do not feel qualified to. Let Landing know through the chat straight away.
The WiFi is still below 50 Mbps after a reboot, or the network name and password are different. Let your Install Manager know.
The linens look dirty or stained. The Landing linens are pre-washed and only need fluffing in the dryer, so let Landing know rather than washing them.
Something is damaged or not working. Submit a maintenance request. See Making a Maintenance Request.
