Follow the steps below to minimize the amount of notification emails you receive from HiPeople.
Outlook Users
If you're using Outlook, you can easily manage your emails by setting up filtering rules. Here's how:
1. Accessing Outlook Rules:
- Open Outlook and log in to your account.
- Click on "File" in the top-left corner of the window.
- Select "Manage Rules & Alerts" from the dropdown menu.
2. Creating a New Rule:
- In the Rules and Alerts dialog box, click on "New Rule."
- Choose "Apply rule on messages I receive" and click "Next."
3. Setting Conditions:
- Under "Step 1: Select conditions," choose the conditions that match the notification emails from HiPeople. For example, you might select "from people or public group" and enter the email address associated with HiPeople (noreply@emails.hipeople.io).
- Click "Next" to proceed.
4. Defining Actions:
- Under "Step 1: Select actions," choose "move it to the specified folder."
- In the lower pane, click on "specified" and select or create a folder where you want to move the notification emails.
- Click "Next" to continue.
5. Naming and Finalizing the Rule:
- Give your rule a descriptive name.
- Optionally, check "Turn on this rule" to enable it immediately.
- Click "Finish" to create the rule.
Gmail Users
Gmail also provides robust tools for managing emails through filtering rules. Follow these steps to set up rules in Gmail:
1. Accessing Gmail Settings:
- Open Gmail and log in to your account.
- Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner and select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
2. Creating a Filter:
- Navigate to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
- Click on "Create a new filter."
3. Defining Filter Criteria:
- In the "From" field, enter the email address associated with HiPeople (noreply@emails.hipeople.io).
- Click on "Create filter" with this search.
4. Setting Actions:
- Choose the actions you want to apply to the filtered emails. You might select "Skip the Inbox (Archive)" to keep them out of your main inbox or "Apply the label" to categorize them.
5. Applying the Filter:
- Click on "Create filter" to save your settings.
