Below you will find an explanation for errors you may encounter on your Stripe widgets. These errors are uncommon, and if you see an error that is not detailed below, please get in touch with a member of our team.
The authentication token provided is either invalid or has expired.
Explanation: Authentication tokens are used to verify the identity of a user or a system. When you connect a tool (for example, Google Analytics or Stripe) to Hurree, you are issued a token that serves as proof of your identity every time you add a data point from that tool. The token you’ve used to connect Hurree to Stripe is either invalid or expired, meaning it is either incorrect or has exceeded its validity period.
How to solve: To solve this issue you will need to reauthenticate your connection to your tool. Depending on whether the token is invalid or expired, this could be simply disconnecting and reconnecting your connector or is invalid; you will need to verify your credentials in the tool itself, i.e. update your password.
Stripe internal server error
Explanation: In some instances, Stripe’s internal server will experience an error, which means that Hurree can’t fetch the data you requested at that specific time.
How to solve: These kinds of errors are not uncommon, but unfortunately, they are out of our control. The only way to resolve this issue is to wait until the next sync period. If you see the same error after the next sync period, please contact Hurree support.
The data was not found
Explanation: Unfortunately, the data you are trying to access using Hurree can not be found. This may be due to transactions, accounts, etc., being deleted or removed from your account.
How to Solve: If you see this error, we recommend checking the associated Stripe account to ensure that the resource you are trying to receive data from has not been deleted or archived.
Something is wrong on Stripe’s end
Explanation: In some instances, a third-party tool will experience issues within its own system which is out of our control.
How to solve: These outages usually don’t last long, so we recommend waiting a short time and then trying again. If you are experiencing this error for a prolonged period of time, please contact our support team.
Something has gone wrong with your API Token
Explanation: When connecting your Stripe account to Hurree, you will input a secret API key that you have taken from your Stripe account. The error you are encountering is related to this API key; it has either already been used, is in use somewhere else, or is invalid.
How to solve: To connect successfully to Hurree, you must generate a new API key in Stripe. To resolve this issue, you must disconnect your Stripe connector and ensure that you are using the correct API key when reconnecting. For more information on connecting your Stripe account, we recommend following our helpful guide here.
You don't have permission to perform this action
Explanation: You do not have the necessary permissions to perform the action you have requested.
How to Solve: To resolve this issue, contact the admin of your Stripe account and ask them to update your permissions. If you are the admin of your Stripe account, we recommend checking your settings. If the error still occurs, please contact Hurree Support.
