The Timeline feature allows users to visualize and interact with 4D construction sequences. It provides a dynamic way to explore project progress over time, toggle key elements, and adjust playback settings for deeper insight.

How to Use the Timeline

1. Accessing the Timeline

  • Open hand menu

  • Press Timeline button to open timeline menu

2. Scrubbing the Timeline

  • Point at the timeline and hold the trigger to scrub through time.

  • Move the cursor to explore different phases of the construction sequence.

  • Enable BIM Links to highlight connections between model elements and tasks.

3. Adjusting Time Scale

  • Open the Time Scale settings to modify playback speed.

  • Choose a setting like “days per second” to control how quickly the sequence progresses.

  • Example: 1 second = 1 day of construction.

4. Using Timeline Features

  • Toggle Annotations: Show or hide notes and callouts.

  • Toggle Paths: Visualize workflow paths for better construction insight.

  • Toggle Resources: Display or hide animated equipment and personnel.

  • Enable BIM Links: Highlight task-model relationships.

  • Activate Repeat Mode: Loop the sequence continuously for presentations or reviews.
