Overview

What is Integrity Advocate?

Integrity Advocate is a proctoring software contracted by your activity provider to monitor / proctor your activity during exams/tests/course. Our support line is available once you enter your exam to assist with basic troubleshooting, such as camera issues, screen sharing problems, and browser permissions. Integrity Advocate’s role is limited to monitoring and proctoring your exam to ensure compliance with exam policies. They do not have access to or control over exam results, certificates, or reattempt permissions. For any concerns outside of proctoring, your activity provider is the appropriate point of contact.

Who is my Activity Provider?

Your activity provider is the organization responsible for delivering the activity you are participating in, such as a school, company, or institution. To find out more, check the website or app you used to log in and access your course. Typically, the landing page before you access your exam will display the name of your activity provider.

Activity Provider

How can I contact my Activity Provider?

You can typically find your activity provider's contact information on the website or app you used to access or purchase your activity. Typically, the landing page BEFORE you access your exam will display the name of your activity provider.

Look for sections labeled "Support," "Contact Us," or "Help" on their platform.

Where can I get my exam link?

Some activities require a specific exam or activity link provided by your activity provider. If you did not receive a link or it is not working, please contact your activity provider directly. Integrity Advocate does not provide exam links, as this is outside of our scope.

Where can I find my certificate / results?

You need to reach out directly to your activity/exam/course provider to get certificate and results

Activity Rules

What are the requirements for my exam environment?

It is advisable to be in a quiet and private room to avoid any potential violations. An uncluttered desk is necessary only if your activity requires room and desk scans (please check with your activity provider for applicable rules). However, using a desk is not mandatory; you can complete your activity in any comfortable space, such as your kitchen, couch, chair, or bed.

What are the rules for my activity?

You'll see all the rules once you access your activity. Before you dive into the actual exam, course, or test, a prompt with the list of rules will pop up on your screen. Make sure to read it carefully to avoid any violations. If you want to know the rules before accessing your exam, just reach out to your activity provider since they set the required rules for each activity.

Does my activity require screen sharing?

You'll see all the rules once you access your activity. If you want to know if screen sharing is required before accessing your exam, just reach out to your activity provider since they set the required rules for each activity.

Device

Can I use my iPad, tablet or mobile phone?

Yes and No! You can use an iPad, tablet, or mobile phone as long as your activity does not require screen sharing. If screen sharing is necessary, only a laptop or desktop can be used, as these devices have the necessary features to share screens in browsers.

Can I use my work device? (laptop or desktop)

Yes and no! You can use your work-issued device to take your activity, but keep in mind that these devices often have restrictions, which might prevent you from launching your activity. If that happens, try following our Basic Troubleshooting steps. If it still doesn’t work, you'll need to get support from your company’s IT department. A personal device is usually preferred!

Do I need a camera?

Yes! A device with a working camera is required to take your online exam or activity.

Do I need a microphone?

Yes! A device with a working microphone is required, as some activities involve audio recording to monitor voice activity and ensure integrity.

What are the device requirements?

You can find the device and browser compatibility information here: Device & Browser Compatibility.

ID

Can I continue if my ID photo is blurry?

Yes, you can still proceed with your exam or activity even if the photo of your ID appears unclear during the initial verification process. This is only applicable when starting or about to begin your activity. We understand that sometimes images may not be perfect.

Can I Email My ID Instead?

No. For privacy and security, we do not accept ID images by email or chat.
Any ID photos sent to us this way will be automatically redacted.

You must submit your ID through the secure link in the email we sent.

Can I use my expired government-issued ID?

Yes and no! Some activities require a valid government-issued ID that is not expired. It's best to check with your activity provider to see if they accept expired IDs or if you need to provide a current one.

How Can I Change My Name?

You can visit this link for more information about changing your profile name, as we have rules regarding name differences: Name Mismatch

How to Know if My ID is Accepted?

Not all activities send out proctoring results. To check if your ID has been accepted, click the link in the most recent resubmission email you received. If it shows "Thank you, your identity has been confirmed," this means your verification has been validated.

What type of ID's are accepted

Government-issued IDs are always accepted! Depending on your activity provider's preferences, school IDs and company IDs may be accepted, but not always. Be sure to check with your activity provider to find out which types of IDs are accepted for your activity.

What happens if my ID is unreadable?

If our proctors later determine that your ID is unreadable, you will receive an email containing a secure link. This link will allow you to resubmit clearer photos of your ID for verification.
