Browser based products like iQualify work well with most browser extensions which can add value to your online experience by adding advanced functionality and features, integrating with other online services and aiding accessibility if you have a hearing or visual disability.

However, sometimes browser extensions can cause issues. Examples may include:

  • Security settings stopping you from uploading files

  • Editing and grammar checkers causing problems text input areas

  • Multiple extensions taking different approaches to the same problem, leading to conflicts.

If you are experiencing issues with iQualify and have browser extensions installed we recommend you:

1. Open your browser's task manager

Your browser's task manager shows which tabs or extensions are using a lot of memory or energy. To open the task manager see links for instructions for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, Safari - see #10).

2. Disable extensions or close tabs

First, try closing the tabs or disabling the extensions that are are using a lot of memory.

If that doesn't work, we highly recommend disabling all extensions if you can (if you no longer use particular extensions, now's a good time to uninstall so they don't cause issues on other pages too).

If you're still encountering issues, try 3.

3. Use iQualify in a private browsing session instead

In Google Chrome use Incognito mode
In Microsoft Edge use InPrivate browsing
In Mozilla Firefox use Private browsing
In Opera use Private browsing
In Apple Safari use Private browsing

If you're still encountering issues, please get in touch with us through your organisation's support process.
