Readers says In Bootloader

If you find a Card Reader displaying the message "In Bootloader", it means that reader has failed to load it's firmware correctly.

First try power cycling the machine so the reader attempts to reboot.

If it remains stuck with the message In Bootloader, this indicates some corruption with the flash memory of the Card Reader itself.

The reader board will need to be replaced to correct this issue, and can be ordered through your distributor directly.

You can give your distributor the full model number of your machine in order to look up the reader board type it uses; however, all reader boards will have their reader board type printed on the back of the card reader board itself.

Below are pictures of 3 different card reader board types as examples

(a Compass Serial, a Generic Serial, and a Generic Relay Card Reader board type):

In some cases, on newer reader boards; the reader board part # will also be printed on this label, just below the reader board type name.

Card Reader board part numbers are usually "ASSY-02-02-##").

For example, the reader board shown below is an "MDB" reader (used for vending machines (or other MDB communication devices) only), and it's part number is ASSY-02-02-09):

If you're unable to read the sticker from your Card Reader board, and would like to know which reader board type your specific machine needs;

email support@laundroworks.com and include the full model number of your machine so we can advise on the specific Reader Board type you'll need as a replacement reader board.
