Custom attributes allow you to personalize your emails with participant-specific data.
π‘ Note: Custom attributes work with both marketing and transactional emails. The personalization panel will show all available fields based on your event's booking form questions and add-ons.
Adding dynamic fields
Dynamic fields automatically populate with participant data when emails are sent. This is great for communicating to specific participants based on things like:
Race name 5K, 10K etc
Expected finish time
Running clubs name
Unique booking ID
To add dynamic fields to your email, go to the "Personalization" tab inside a campaign.

Best practices
When adding custom attributes to email templates it's best to:
Preview your changes - View both mobile and web
Send a test email - Check things look as expected
Handle empty fields - Use conditional logic around optional fields to avoid gaps
Keep it simple - Start with basic personalization
Reuse across events - Snippets work for any event with the same questions
Trouble shooting
Common questions and problems:
Field not appearing in personalization panel
Check that the question or add-on exists on your event
Save your event configuration and refresh the email builder
New fields appear automatically once added to the event
Dynamic content not showing
Verify you've pasted the complete snippet including
{{ }}
Check spelling and formatting match exactly
