As of 2023, British Triathlon will integrate directly with event entry systems to sell their Race Passes to participants of British Triathlon permitted events.
Meeting British Triathlon’s requirements, Let’s Do This offer a standardized way to:
Sell participants a Race Pass (if they do not have a British Triathlon annual membership) during the booking flow
Automatically transfer fees and participant information collected for the Race Pass directly to British Triathlon
This standardized process ensures your registration flow will meet British Triathlon’s requirements, ensure an optimal customer experience, and reduce effort on your part.
How participants can purchase a Race Pass during the booking flow
On the booking form for your British Triathlon permitted event, each participant must be asked to either:
Enter their British Triathlon annual membership number, or
Purchase a Race Pass that is valid for the day of the event. Different Race Passes are offered for participants aged 25 and over (”Race Pass”), and participants 24 and under (”Children & Young Persons”)
If purchasing a Race Pass, the customer will see it added to their basket. Let’s Do This will apply a 2% payment processing fee to cover the cost of the transaction to Stripe:
Per British Triathlon’s requirements, customers may opt-in to hear from British Triathlon Foundation:
During the payment step, customers must be agreeing to the British Triathlon Race Pass Terms and that their information will be transferred to British Triathlon Foundation:
Setting up your booking form for British Triathlon events
Let’s Do This offer pre-configured booking form fields to make it easy to set up the participant experience. More information: Customizing your booking form fields
When creating or editing your booking form, navigate to the ‘Add New Field’ section. There are two fields you will need to add:
British Triathlon Race Pass- this is the series of questions that will ask participants if they are an annual member, and either ask for their membership number or present the Race Pass for purchase.British Triathlon Opt-In- this is the marketing opt-in question
Once you’ve added these fields, you will be able to reorder these questions within their respective sections on your booking form.
After adding these fields, the payment terms and conditions will automatically update to include British Triathlon.
Transferring Race Pass payment and participant data to British Triathlon
For bookings where a Race Pass is sold, Let’s Do This will automatically:
Send the Race Pass payment directly to British Triathlon
Include participant details and marketing opt-ins in a secure report shared to British Triathlon
Your financial reports
The sale of Race Passes will appear in your financial reports, as paid out to a third-party. This information will enable you to generate VAT receipts for your customers if requested.
