If the first server you ordered on your account isn't right for you, you can get your money back. The money-back guarantee gives you 30 days from activation for a VPS or VDS, and 7 days for a GPU VPS. It applies once per customer.
You ask for a refund through the server's cancellation form.
Asking for a refund cancels the server, and a canceled server is deleted with all its data. Copy anything you want to keep first.
How to request a refund
Step 1: Open your server's page.
Go to My servers and click Manage next to the server.
Step 2: Open the cancellation form.
In the menu on the left, under Actions, click Request Cancellation.
Step 3: Write refund as the reason and choose Immediate.
In Describe the reason for the cancellation, type refund. Set Cancellation Type to Immediate, then click Request Cancellation.
The two cancellation types are explained in Canceling your VPS service.
If you already sent the cancellation without writing refund, open a ticket in Billing right away and say the cancellation was meant as a refund.
What is not refunded
Renewals
Upgrades
Servers ordered after your first one
Add-ons, such as extra IPv4 addresses and backup slots
Domains, licenses and SSL certificates
Bare metal and dedicated servers
Accounts closed for abuse
Outside the money-back guarantee, unused time on a plan is not refunded. Moving the server to another region also ends the guarantee.
When the refund arrives
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method where possible, or by another method if that isn't possible. They are sent within about 7 business days, and your bank may take a few more days to show the money.
