Understanding the use case/purpose for each trigger available under Actions will help you make the most out of this great feature.

Find your Actions page under the 'Users' Tab in the left sidebar.

This is where you can see all your global and product-specific Actions in one place.

Here's a breakdown of the various triggers currently available and what they cover:

USER ACTIONS

User Actions are specific to the engagement a user makes throughout your entire account rather than a specific product.

Creates Account - this trigger will activate when a user opts into or purchases a product in your account for the very first time. It will not occur if the user is added manually or by webhook. The user must opt-in or purchase a product directly in your account for this trigger to work.

Earns 'X' EP - 'X' is the predetermined # of Engagement Points (EP) that you set for this action. The trigger will work when a user reaches the specific # of EP for engaging with your overall account/products.

First Log In - this trigger will ONLY work when a user physically logs into your account from your sign-in page for the first time. It will not work if the user is 'logging in' via a one-click link for a product or uses the quick 'log in' button at the time of opt-in or purchase.

Email Consent Given - if you are utilizing MV's email consent feature, this trigger will activate when someone consents to receive your emails by checking the email consent box when they join any one of your products.

Email Consent NOT Given - in context with the above, this trigger will happen when someone does not consent to receive your emails when joining one of your products (if you've enabled MV's email consent feature).

Leaves Comment - This trigger will work when a user leaves a comment on any product, module or lesson where you have MV comments enabled.

PRODUCT ACTIONS

Product Actions are specific to the engagement a user makes within a specific product.

Added to Product - this will trigger when someone is added to a product and you will be able to also choose HOW they were added to the product. For example, if it's a paid product with multiple payment options, you can respond to each one differently if you want by creating actions for each option.

{Please note that you do not need to give access to the product someone has just joined. The system automatically takes care of this when they opt-in to or purchase the product. Creating an action under the product they have joined that grants them access to that same product is redundant and not required.}

Becomes Hot Lead - Allows you to determine when a user is deemed as a Hot Lead for a product they don't yet own based on the # of times they view the product's page. Only one view is logged per day even if the user visits the product page more than once on a given day. Meaning, if you select 3 as the # of views required to become a Hot Lead - the user must view the product page over three separate days.

Unlocked Bonus Product - specific to Bonus Products which unlock based on a specific # of set EP. It will activate when a user receives access to the specific product by achieving the required # of EP within your account.

Earns X Product EP - 'X' is the predetermined # of Engagement Points (EP) that you set for this action and is specific to the engagement within the particular product where you create the action. The trigger will work when a user reaches the specific # of EP referenced.

Ghosts on Product - this will take place when a user has been added to a product but has yet to complete at least one lesson (by marking it as complete) within the first 10 days.

Star User on Product - will occur when a user has finished the specific product at a rate FASTER than 3 days person lesson.

Completes Product -
this trigger will be activated when the user completes the entire product by marking all lessons/modules complete.

Completes Module - will occur once the user has marked all lessons within the specified module as complete.

Unlocks Module - specific to Bonus Modules which unlock based on a specific # of set EP earned within the product. It will activate when a user receives the required # of EP within the product. This does not reference modules that are released in a time or date dripped product.

Completes Lesson - occurs when the user marks the specified lesson as completed.

Fails Quiz - will activate when a user submits their answers to a set of quiz questions and has at least one incorrect multiple choice answer or has left an essay answer blank.

Passes Quiz - will take place when a user submits their answers to a set of quiz questions and has answered all multiple-choice questions correctly and provided an answer for all essay questions.

Chooses Quiz Answer - will activate for multiple choice style quiz questions when a user submits their answer. You can use this to add a tag and send an email campaign that is specific to each multiple choice answer.
