How to Download and Export Reports

Export your reports as PDF, PowerPoint, or Canva, and download raw mention data as Excel or PDF.

Mentionlytics gives you two ways to get data out of the platform. Which one you use depends on your plan.

1. Exporting a Standard or Custom Report

Once you have finalized your Standard or Custom Report, you can export it directly from the Reporting section.

Exporting a report is a two-step process: first you trigger the export, then you download the generated file.

Step 1: Trigger the export

Trigger the export

Below the Filters bar, next to the Reports button, click Download to export your report in one of the following formats:

  • PDF: ready to share straight away

  • PowerPoint: ideal if you want to present or edit it in your own template

  • Canva: opens directly in Canva, where you can apply your brand's fonts and colors in one click.

Before your first export, you’ll need to authorize your Canva account under User Setup. A free Canva account is enough.

These formats make it easy to share insights with stakeholders, present findings, or further customize your reports externally.

Once you pick a format, a loading spinner will appear to show that your report is being generated.

Important: Export time depends on how many mentions are included. Do not refresh the page while the export is loading.

Step 2: Download the generated file

When the report is ready, a second Download button (blue) will appear next to the first one. Click it to download your file.

  • Standard reports are available in advanced plan and above

  • Custom reports are available in pro plan and above

2. Exporting Raw Data

If you prefer to analyze mentions outside of a formatted report, you can export your raw data.

The export button is in the top right bar of your overview dashboard, to the left of the date filter. Not inside the Reports section.

Two formats are available:

  • Excel file: your full mention data in spreadsheet format, ideal for deeper analysis or sharing internally

  • PDF: this is a simpler version of the report and it has a mention limit of 1300 mentions

This option is ideal for advanced analysis, internal processing, or integrating data into your own workflows.

Raw data export is available on all plans, including Basic.
