Commit Performance FAQs

Updated today

Do I have to run to do the program?

Nope — you don’t have to run. While the program does include prescribed running days, you can absolutely stick to just the strength training sessions if that’s what fits your goals and lifestyle.

Can I do Commit Performance as a new runner?

Absolutely! While Commit Performance leans intermediate, we’ve included notes to make every run approachable for beginners too. If you’re brand-new or coming back after some time off, we recommend the run-walk method — it’s a smart, sustainable way to build endurance and confidence.

What are the workouts like in Commit Performance?

Each week you’ll get a mix of:

  • Runs set by time (not distance), so you can move at a pace that feels right for you while still getting the training effect.

  • Strength days that focus on low-rep, heavier lifts to build resilient muscles, joints, and ligaments. We’ll mix in plyometrics and power drills to keep things dynamic — helping you stay injury-free, boost agility, and add that extra “spring” to your stride.

How is Commit Performance different from other Moves programs?

Commit Performance blends strength and running into one structured program, with guided run sessions (including intervals) built right into your week. It’s perfect if you want a clear plan that pushes performance forward.

Endurance Moves, on the other hand, is more flexible: three strength days, self-directed cardio, optional run-walks, and an emphasis on recovery and mobility. It’s ideal if you want to build endurance with plenty of freedom to choose how you move.

How do I choose between Commit Performance and Endurance Moves?

Think about:

  • Your goals → Training for a race or wanting to level up your running performance? Go with Commit Performance. Want a balanced mix of strength, cardio, and recovery that you can customize? Endurance Moves is your match.

  • Your style → Love a set schedule and detailed guidance? Commit Performance. Prefer flexibility and options? Endurance Moves.

Both programs build strength, endurance, and resilience — it just comes down to what motivates you most.
