Every exercise in the Moves App includes a form demonstration video along with written cues so you can perform movements safely and effectively.
These videos are designed to show you how to do each movement with proper form — but Moves is not a follow-along workout app. Instead of playing a continuous video, you’ll move through exercises at your own pace, giving you more flexibility to focus on form, rest as needed, and make the workout your own. This approach is intentional and rooted in how we build strength safely, effectively, and progressively over time.
If you’d like to see what a workout looks like in real time, we do offer one follow-along video from our Foundations Moves program. This is a great way to get a feel for how the app flows during a workout and how to navigate it as you go.
Who is this style best for?
This approach is great if you:
Prefer to move at your own pace instead of keeping up with a video
Want to focus on form and build strength with intention
Need flexibility to pause, modify, or adjust rest as needed
Like having structure without feeling rushed
Important: No Sound (On Purpose!) 🎧
Our videos do not have sound — and that’s intentional. Moves is a self-paced program, not a follow-along video workout. This means:
You control the pace, rest, and flow of your workout.
You can listen to your own music, podcasts, or even enjoy silence while training.
The video is simply there to show you what proper form looks like — not to guide you rep by rep.
Video + Written Instructions
Each exercise comes with a video demonstrating the correct form, so you can see exactly how the movement should be performed. These videos are paired with written cues, provided by Dr. Brandon Moss, PT, highlighting the key points to focus on during the exercise. This combination ensures you understand both the visual movement and the technical aspects, helping you train safely and effectively. The written cues reinforce the video so you can internalize proper form and maintain it throughout your workout.
Where to Watch
In Guided View, the video is displayed larger, making it easy to see the movement clearly as you go through each step.
In List View, you’ll see your full workout at a glance, and you can tap any exercise to open the info box, which shows the larger video along with the written form cues.
💡 Pro Tip: When you’re learning a new exercise or need a refresher, flip back and forth between Guided and List View. Watch the larger video in Guided View until you feel confident, then switch to List View for faster logging and a big-picture overview of your workout.
Connection
Videos stream through the app and require a stable internet connection, similar to music, social, or browser apps.
