Tips for Logging Your Moves Workout

Updated this week

Your workout should always be the main event — we’re here to make it smoother, not add extra steps.

Like anything new, logging might take a couple tries to feel natural. But once you get the hang of it, it’s quick, easy, and helps you track the progress you’ve worked so hard for.

Here’s how to make the most of logging so you can stay focused on moving, not on your phone.

Two Ways to Log

You’ve got options — use the one that fits your style, or switch it up anytime.

1. Guided View (Step-by-Step)

  • One move at a time with a big demo video and clear cues

  • Great if you’re learning new movements or like following along in order

  • Log after each exercise so you always know exactly where you are

2. List View (Big Picture & Fast Logging)

  • See your whole workout at once — past, present, and upcoming blocks will be visible.

  • Rearrange exercises, plan ahead, and grab your gear before starting a block

  • Log as you go, or hit Complete All to check off a whole block in seconds

  • Perfect if you want less screen time and more sweat time

👉 Pro tip: You can switch back and forth anytime. If you spot a new move and want a closer look, hop into Guided View for the bigger demo video — then jump right back to List View once you’ve got it down.

Tips for Quick-Logging during List View

  • Before you start, scan the first block, grab your equipment, and note reps/rounds

  • Do the whole block, then log all sets at once

  • Use rest time to peek at what’s next so you’re ready to roll

  • Afraid you’ll forget the weights you used? Enter them as you go — you can still log with Complete All later

Why Moves Workouts Aren’t Follow-Along Videos

We built Moves to help you train smart — not just keep up with a screen.

To see real changes in strength, energy, and body composition, you need progressive overload — gradually pushing your muscles so they adapt and rebuild stronger.

With follow-along videos, you’re stuck with someone else’s pace, weights, and moves. With Moves, you get freedom to:

  • Adjust weights and rest to fit your needs

  • Swap exercises to make them easier, harder, or joint-friendly

  • Adapt to whatever equipment you have without breaking the workout flow

And don’t worry — you’re never on your own. Every workout is designed by trainers and Physical Therapists with progression built in, plus:

  • Demo videos to show exactly how to move

  • Form cues + muscle targets so you know what to feel

  • Options to go at your pace, the right way

Favorite Features While You Train

Moves is designed to make your workouts feel personal, adaptable, and effective — so every session works for you.

  • Swap moves anytime to fit your body and setup.

  • Choose joint-friendly options, equipment-free versions, or just a fresh challenge.

  • Perfect if you’re working around an injury, training at home, or just in the mood to mix things up.

  • See what weights you used last time so you know when to push a little heavier.

  • Jot quick reminders like “felt easy today” or “try dumbbells instead next round.”

  • Helps you track your progress without needing a separate notebook.

  • Tap into detailed form cues so you know exactly what good movement should look and feel like.

  • Learn which muscles you’re targeting for a stronger mind-muscle connection.

  • Gives you that extra bit of coaching confidence while you train on your own.

  • Adjust reps or rounds to match how you’re feeling that day — more if you’re fired up, fewer if you’re rebuilding.

  • Scale workouts to your energy, equipment, or schedule without losing the structure and progression.

  • Keeps your training flexible but still on track toward your goals.
