Need a break? You can pause your subscription instead of canceling. Your account details, workout history, and any unused days are all saved — so you can pick up right where you left off when you're ready to return.
⚡️ Who can pause: Pause is only available for subscriptions purchased directly through Moves (movesapp.com). If your subscription is managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you'll need to cancel it there and resubscribe when you're ready to return. Need more than 3 months? How to pause your subscription
Open the Moves App
Go to the Profile tab
Tap Manage Subscription
Tap Manage Subscription again (this opens the Account Manager)
Log in using your Moves app email and password
Select Pause Subscription
Choose your pause duration: 1 month, 2 months, or 3 months
Your subscription pauses immediately, and it stays paused until you resume.
What happens while you're paused
Your access: Access to subscriber-only features — programs, content, and workout logging — stops right away when you pause. It does not continue until your next renewal date.
Your billing: Billing is frozen and you won't be charged while paused. Any days left in your current cycle aren't lost — they're held on your account and added back when you resume, so you still get every day you paid for. Your next billing date shifts forward by however many days were left when you paused.
Example: If you pause 2 days into a 30-day cycle, you have 28 days remaining. When you resume, you'll get those 28 days before your next charge.
❓ "I paused before my renewal date — shouldn't I keep access until then?" Not quite. Pausing stops your access immediately, not on your renewal date. But you don't lose those remaining days — they're saved and given back when you resume, so you still get every day you paid for, just later.
💡 Want to use up the days you've already paid for first? Don't pause yet. Keep using the app until the end of your billing cycle, then pause right before your renewal date — that way you enjoy the time you've paid for now, and your pause (with any saved days) starts from there.
Move Together / Tighter Together challenges
If you've purchased a challenge, you can still view your workouts while paused, in view-only mode — you can browse workouts and resources, but you can't log workouts until you resume. Your progress and content stay right where you left them.
Resuming, canceling & other options
Resume anytime. App access and normal billing restart automatically when your pause ends, or you can resume early whenever you like.
Cancel anytime. You can cancel through the app to stop future billing. To cancel while paused, the app asks you to unpause first — unpausing and immediately canceling won't charge you. Just unpause, then cancel right away.
