How do I change my calorie goal / intake?

Changing your kcal/fitness/weight & step goals, activity level, or dietary preferences

Updated this week

Your daily amount of calories is automatically estimated based on your fitness goals, activity level, and Energy expenditure mode that you adjust in the questionnaire. This number already includes the calorie deficit if you choose the goal to lose weight in the onboarding quiz.

✍️ Note: If your calorie number seems too low and changes randomly, it’s likely because Energy Expenditure mode is set to Activity Tracking (workout calories included). This mode adjusts your total calorie goal based on logged workouts. For example, a 1,200 calorie goal will increase to 1,600 after logging a 400-calorie walk.
You can change this either in your Profile settings or in the goal setting quiz (described below).

You can update these settings manually anytime to make sure your plan stays aligned with your current lifestyle and objectives. To adjust your calorie allowance:

  1. Tap the progress icon in the footer menu.

  2. In the Goal section, tap the toggle icon.

  3. You’ll be guided through a short quiz where you can adjust your:

    • fitness goal — lose, maintain, or gain weight

    • activity level — sedentary, moderately active, or very active

    • step goal

    • training frequency

    • energy expenditure — include or exclude workout calories (including lowers your calorie goal but adjusts it based on workouts)

    • weight goal (note your weight graph will reset to a new start point and this cannot be undone)

    • preferred diet — balanced, low fat, low carb, or keto

    • protein level — low, moderate, high, or extra high

  4. On the weight loss speed step, move the slider left or right to see how much calories you should intake daily. This will also change the estimated time to reach the goal:

Once you complete these steps, the app will automatically recalculate your daily calorie count to match your new goal and preferences. Your new calorie target will immediately appear on the main page.
