Overview
This guide explains how to manage variant options and pricing for products imported from the My Easy Monogram (MEM) app into your Shopify store. By reviewing and customizing these details, you’ll ensure that your products are accurately represented, competitively priced, and customer-ready.
⚡ Tip: Variant options (sizes, colors, etc.) are tied to pricing and shipping automatically when you import from MEM. Tags inside MEM are for internal organization only and do not transfer into Shopify.

Editing Product Details
After creating a product in the MEM Design Studio, you’ll want to review and adjust details before importing into Shopify.
Accessing Product Details
From the MEM dashboard, go to Products in the left toolbar.
Select Design Studio Products under All Products.
Click the product icon (e.g., Custom Steel Wall Decor) to view all product instances (Active, Error, Orders, Draft).
Click Edit next to the product instance you’d like to modify.
From here, you can:
Edit Design → Opens the MEM Design Studio to adjust the product’s artwork.
Add New Scene → Opens the Mockup Studio to create or edit mockups.
Continue to Details → Finalize title, description, tags, pricing, and variants.
Understanding Variant Options
Variants represent different versions of a product, such as size or color. Correctly managing these ensures customers can easily select the version they want.
Examples:
Sizes: 12”, 15”, 18”, 24”, 30”, 36”
Colors: Black, White, Copper, Silver, Gold
Editing Variant Options
On the Product Details page, review all available variants.
Use the toggle next to each variant to remove any options you don’t want to sell.
Managing Pricing
Setting accurate pricing keeps your store competitive while ensuring profitability.
Pricing Fields
Cost → What you pay MEM for the product.
Price → What your customer pays in your store.
Compare Price → A reference price (MSRP) showing a discount when crossed out.
Example:
Cost = $30
Price = $60
Compare Price = $80 → Customers see $80 crossed out, with $60 as the selling price.
Adjustments:
Update pricing as needed on the Product Details page.
Prices are calculated using your Global Pricing Rules or Advanced Pricing Rules if configured.
Pricing Example Table
Field | What It Means | Example Value | Displayed to Customers? |
Cost | What you (the merchant) pay MEM for the item | $30.00 | ❌ No (internal only) |
Price | What your customer pays in your store | $60.00 | ✅ Yes (main selling price) |
Compare Price | A higher “reference” price to show a discount | $80.00 | ✅ Yes (appears crossed out) |
📌 Result in Storefront:
Customers will see the product listed at $60.00 with $80.00 crossed out, making the discount clear and boosting conversions.
