Report Damage When Receiving (Mobile)

How to add damage reasons and images documenting damage during receiving with the mobile app.

Encountering a damaged item during receiving may be a hassle, but documenting it shouldn't be. When receiving products, users can easily add information about damage through our app. This article will show you how.


Step-by-Step Guide

  • During the Receive Product phase of receiving a purchase order, select the 3-Dot menu next to the Receive button.

  • The Report & Edit section will open. Choose the Report Damaged Product button.

  • You can now add more information about the damage.

  • From this section, a number of actions can be taken. These options are:

    • Add Photo (see the section below for directions)

    • Adjust Damaged Quantity: Use the -/+ to add or remove damaged quantity one at a time, or manually enter the total using the Quantity field.

    • Damaged Reason: Select the damage reason from the available options.

    • Damage Location: Scan or enter the location where the product will be quarantined.

Add Photo

Click this option to add a photo from your device's camera or gallery.

Gallery: Allows the user to select a photo that has been taken.

Camera: Allows the user to take/retake a photo using the device's interface (varies by device).

Once a photo has been added, the user can click the Add Photo area again to add up to 4 more photos, for a total of 5.

Click Done to finish adding photos.


  • Once you've added the necessary information, click Report & Receive to complete the damage report.

  • You may now continue with the receiving process.
