Now that you have finished creating your donation page, you will want to share it with your network of supporters! To link your donation page with your website, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Create a donation button for your organization's website
If you do not already have a donation button on your website, you will want to create one. There are many free websites that you can use to create a button for your website - if you need instructions on how to add the button to your website, we recommend contacting your web hosting service or a member of your IT team.
Ideally, a donation button should be large, contrast against the rest of your page so it is easily identifiable, and be placed in a prominent, easy-to-find location. This will help ensure your supporters do not have to spend time searching for your donation page.
Step 2: Navigate to your 'Fundraising Pages'
From your 'Donor Management' Dashboard, click 'My Tools' in the upper right corner of the page and select 'Fundraising Pages'.
Step 3: Copy your donation page's URL
When logged into your 'Fundraising Pages', click the tile or 'Manage' button for the donation page you want to share.
Once you have reached the 'Campaign Overview', click the 'Share' button and then click 'Copy Address'.
Now, you have the URL of your donation page copied to your device's clipboard and you can paste or share it as needed!
Step 4: Link your donation page and your website
Link the URL to your donation page to the 'Donate' button you have just created. If your organization has a designated individual who manages your website, you should be able to provide them with that link and they will be able to set it up properly. If not, we recommend reaching out to your web hosting service for additional support.
Note: We highly recommend using your link to add a simple donation button to your website instead of using iframes or third-party widgets to embed your donation page. This will ensure a seamless and secure experience for donors visiting your site to make their gift.
