How to adjust Inactivity Timer in Firmware 4

Learn how to adjust the IDLE timer via Handy Onboarding App

Updated this week

In Firmware 4.1 and above, the Handy 2 is configured to auto shut down to preserve battery after 60 minutes of inactivity by default, but sometimes this is too long (Or too short) of a timer, so you can configure that to your specifications.

To do so, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the Settings menu

Once you connect your Handy 2 to the Handy Onboarding App, click the three horizontal lines on the top left to bring up the side menu. Once this menu opens, select Settings

In this new page, select Advanced and then select Base Settings.

In this new page, you can find the section we are looking in second from top to bottom

Here, you can adjust the timer. By default, it uses seconds to measure this timer so you need make sure you are converting seconds to your desired time.

If you set the time to 0, this will completely disable the timer and the device will never auto shut off.
