End of term academic reporting is often the most impactful communication between your school and families due to the importance and sensitivity of the information. It's vital to choose the grading solution that best meets your school's needs because each solution presents its own unique style. Whether it is a standards-based report card, a course grades report card, or reporting formative progress, jmc grants users the versatility to choose the reporting option that best works for your situation.

Completing this checklist will help you select the grading solution that is right for your school. Simply answer the questions and click the links to reveal your grading solution.

Standards-Based Report Cards provide in-depth academic information relating to standards and are often categorized by subjects. Place a checkmark next to each of the following items that best describe your grading needs.

▢ Would your school like an in depth report card that includes standards (with or without course grades), proficiencies and detailed comments about a student's performance?

▢ Has your school identified priority standards for each grade level and subject or will your school identify priority standards prior to developing a report card?

If you've placed checkmarks placed in both checkboxes, a Standards-Based Report Card may be the right solution for you!

Course Grades Report Cards provide letter grades on a course by course basis with room for pre-loaded comments all on one neat and clean page. Place a checkmark next to each of the items that best describe your grading needs.

▢ Would your school like a one page report card that reports overall course grades for multiple courses with brief comments for each course?

▢ Does your school value GPAs, class rank, honor roll etc?

If you've placed a checkmark in either of these two checkboxes, Reporting Course Grades may be the right solution for you!

The Competency-Based Grading module in jmc allows stakeholders to track progress on standards while providing its own brand of reports for student progress online. Place a checkmark next to each of the items that best describe your grading needs.

▢ Is your school unconcerned with end of term reporting as long as stakeholders can track student progress in relation to learning standards throughout the year?

▢ Would you like to direct your families to the jmc Family and jmc Student portals to receive feedback utilizing colors, descriptors, proficiency scales and score notes?

If you've placed checkmarks placed in both of the checkboxes, check into the Competency Based Grading module for Formative Feedback as your tracking solution!
