jmc release updates boost the stability, performance, and security of your jmc toolkit. Let’s take a look at what’s been released to you:
✅ For Iowa and Nebraska schools, we’ve implemented a new color scheme in Discipline > Data > Edit Student Discipline to highlight fields that you’re required to fill in for successful state reporting submissions.
To learn more about adding or editing discipline records in jmc Office, read this Help Center article.
✅ Schools participating in Direct Admissions Minnesota can now see the variables that contribute to a student’s English, Math, and Science GPAs by navigating to Grading > Transcripts > Direct Admissions Minnesota and then clicking on the GPA.
By the way, you can use jmc’s ‘Show GPA’ report for a breakdown of courses, weights, and grade points which together impact college entrance. Read this article to learn more.
✅ For Minnesota graduates who wish to participate in the Direct Admissions Minnesota process, the MDE has shortened the course code on Schedules > Course > Edit Course Data (State Specific Course tab) for English, Math and Science courses that have not been coded yet, helping you to calculate accurate GPAs — and determine eligibility status.

✅ For Minnesota senior transfer students who wish to participate in the Direct Admissions Minnesota process, the MDE has shortened the course code on Grading > Transcripts > Edit Student Transcripts for English, Math and Science transfer courses that have not yet been assigned a state course code. This update ensures proper GPA calculations.

✅ Nebraska schools can access a new report at Attendance > Reports > Nebraska Student School Attendance to help the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) verify attendance records reported through the ADVISER portal for accurate and timely state reporting.

✅ Wisconsin schools, it’s official; we’re Ed-Fi certified for 2024-2025! You can now start preparing all of your data for fall submissions, which includes adding, dropping, or re-entering students into the school system to ensure proper student tallies — and funding.

✅ Introducing a new jmc Lunch module feature: the 30-day notification, which alerts you that a student’s free or reduced lunch status for the prior year is about to expire in thirty days. You can then notify them to reapply in order to keep those benefits.
New to our Lunch module? Watch this webinar to discover all the ways it can ease your meal service to-dos.
✅ Wisconsin and Minnesota schools may now begin importing Direct Certification files for the 2024-2025 school year via jmc Office > Lunch module > Direct Certification Import tool to ensure students who are eligible for free or reduced meals receive those benefits.
Not familiar with jmc’s Direct Certification Import tool? Read this article to learn about that method of updating student lunch statuses and other convenient options.
✅ For Nebraska schools, you can now use Nebraska > Year End > Mass Exit Students to assign exit codes for graduates — and underclassmen — based on the year of the student’s graduation date, letting the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) know which students are graduating versus returning in the fall.
If you’ve never mass-exited students in jmc Office before read our handy Help Center article to get started.
