How to Build a Group Program in Operation 36

Once your lesson plan is ready, it’s time to create a group program for students to register for. This guide walks you through each step of the Program Builder—from setup to launch.

1. Create a New Program

  • Go to Group Programs

  • Click Build a Program from the dropdown menu

You’ll see four sections to complete: Details, Schedule, Marketing, and Pricing.

2. Add Program Details

  • Program Name & Subtitle

Give it a clear name that students and families will recognize. Use the subtitle to add class day/time details.

  • Start & End Dates

Enter the first and last day of class. The schedule you create next will override these if dates differ.

  • Visibility Settings

Choose Public (recommended), Unlisted, or Private. Public makes registration easier—even for private clubs.

  • Attach Your Lesson Plan

Use the dropdown to select the plan you built earlier.

  • Assign Coaches

If you have multiple coaches, assign who is leading which class.

  • Optional Settings

    • Class Capacity: Limit the number of registrants

    • Registration Window: Open/close registration on your timeline

    • Late Registration: Keep it open for a week or two after start

    • Manual Enrollment Approval: Required for offline payments

3. Build the Schedule

You have three options:

  • Add sessions one-by-one

  • Create a recurring schedule (recommended)

  • Copy a schedule from another program

To build a recurring schedule:

  1. Set the start date, class time, number of sessions, and days of the week

  2. Click Add Sessions

You can optionally add descriptions for each class using tooltip templates.

Pro Tip: Once you build one detailed schedule, you can copy it to future programs.

4. Customize Your Marketing Page

  • Add a hero image or video

  • Use templated descriptions or write your own

  • Organize your landing page using categories

  • Add tags so your program shows up in search

5. Set Pricing

  • Attach the package(s) you created earlier

  • Create a new one if needed

  • Keep options limited to avoid overwhelming families

Optional: You can also offer Starter Kits for added value—these are tied to the curriculum and progress.

6. Preview & Publish

  • Use the Preview tool to see how your program appears on your landing page

  • When everything looks good, click Publish

Your program is now live and ready for student registrations.

Recap

You’ve:

  • Entered program details

  • Built a class schedule

  • Designed your marketing page

  • Set pricing and published your program
